Whose Thoughts Are You Thinking?

In our fellowship we have been learning about the physical effects of negative thinking.

“Our choices-natural consequences of our thoughts and imaginations-get “under the skin” of our DNA and can turn certain genes on and off, changing the structure of the neurons in our brains. So our thoughts, imaginations, and choices can change the structure, neurochemical, electromagnetic, and even subatomic.  Through our thoughts, we can be our own brain surgeons as we make choices that change the circuits in our brains” “Switch on Your Brain” by Dr. Caroline Leaf.

The biblical scriptures to support these scientific truths are Prov23:7 & Romans 12:2.  Basically, what Dr. Carolyn is saying is that our thoughts have the ability to alter our DNA.  Science also proves that anxiety itself is actually a disease and this disease is functioning in all of humanity (“Anxiety and Disease” in the Journal of the National Medical Association, July, 1950).

Spiritually we understand fear (which is related to anxiety) was first seen in Adam when he hid from Elohim (God) after he sinned.  At that time he had taken on the nature and character of the serpent which consists of selfishness, ego and pride.  It was actually the serpent’s fear of Elohim that Adam was displaying.  This fear was not from Elohim, as He is love and there is no fear in love.  Perfect love casts out all fear. Unfortunately, even we believers function with fear-based thoughts.  Though Christ reversed the curse of sin though His blood, there is a process of sanctification that is coming forth in our individual relationships with following Him.  We are awakening to His love and as we discover His unique way of loving us, and our identity in Him, there will be no room for fear.

He has led me on a journey of where at very key moments I have been given a choice.  My choices have led me to the spiritual blessings I have today and my choices now are bringing forth the blessings of my future.  You reap what you so so be mindful of what you are sowing.  It was His GRACE to help me in choosing His Best, yet I have still struggled in this area of fear-based thoughts and only now am awakening to them.  I have been very lazy at bringing every thought captive and only now, as I see it is vital in this next level of wholeness I am called to, am I motivated to do the work necessary and seek Him on awakening to His love in a greater way.

In choosing love over fear, we are able to effectively alter our DNA in a positive way to free future generations in our bloodline.  I’m encouraged to see that this knowledge is not only being given to my small fellowship but to differing parts of the body of Christ.  Below is a link where you can learn more about toxic thinking which leads to toxic relationships.

Please join me in prayer if you would like to be free from toxic, fear-based thinking.

Father, we thank You for completing the work You started in us on the cross.  We understand that You have given us everything that pertains to life and godliness and that we are not in need of anything.  We are not needy or codependent and love others not with our own love but Your love.  Bless our thoughts to be Your thoughts.  Our desires to be Your desires.  Our mindsets to be Your mindsets and our beliefs to be the beliefs of the Son.  We desire maturity and wholeness in You and partner with You to activate the manifestation of our true selves.

May He continue revealing to you the person He thought of before you were even in your mother’s womb.
