Even 30 Year Olds Throw Tantrums

I’ve been reading a lot of scripture lately.  I’ve been writing too.  A lot. Mostly because that’s how I release. I also like to release in worship (singing & dancing), crying, talking to friends, talking to spiritual mentors, etc… I process and process, release and release. And even if it gets excessive, I’m learning this is good. At 30 (darn near 31), I’m seeing people breakdown because they didn’t release. After living 3 decades of life you can really accumulate a lot of “stuff”. A lot of baggage.  And baggage will always slow down the growing process (Romans 12:1-2).

Christ loves a process, I’m learning. He loves to take us through an understanding of the cycles of life. He does not want us ignorantly wandering around the wilderness like the children of Israel. He actually didn’t want them wandering either but they were so stubborn and disobedient they wouldn’t have it any other way. He wants to lead us from level to level. Glory to glory. Because maturity is valued in His kingdom. Growth and maturity.

So when you find yourself, bottling up things, don’t be afraid to release. Whether it’s venting to a friend, going on a shopping spree (only if your credit card permits) or throwing a tantrum on the floor of your bedroom with no one else around (even 30 years olds have tantrums) then do it. Don’t let anyone stop you either. Because life is not what anyone expected it to be, no matter what path you are taking. It’s a learning process for all, and no one gets it perfect. Well, one guy did. And He is now there with us, walking it out with us, showing us the secrets to how He overcame. So that we can too.
