Life’s Beautiful Moments

When my coworker tells me she and her daughter have been reading my blog and its been ministering to them both.

My mentee in Africa emails me she misses me.

Even having a mentee in Africa.

My dad sends me a text he loves me (I love you too dad).

ImageA slew of folks on facebook are excited for me to start dating.  So much so they believe the post I put up just as a joke about dating (sorry guys).

My friend located in a third world country emails/facebooks/messages/calls me almost everyday as if she’s still just on the other side of town (you’re one of a kind Ji).

Sitting with my mom watching tv. and doing nothing.  Absolutely nothing. #priceless

Staying up all night talking about everything and nothing with my Florida BFF as if we are still in college.

Thinking about how far God brought me these last 11 years.  Not focusing on the hardships but thinking only of the victories.

Having dinner with my spiritual fam in honor of our friend visiting from Israel. Hearing his testimony about all God has done in such a short time and knowing God used me to orchestrate the little get together.

Taking walks daily with my coworker/friend and pouring out my soul as she lends her kind and listening ear.

Changing my eating and losing 20 lbs when I never expected to.

Loving my natural hair when it took me so long just to get here #lastmohican.

Getting to serve in my friend’s wedding and watch from a distance as God does exceedingly, abundantly above all she could ask or think.

Everytime I walk into fellowship and our little group greets me with love and adoration.

Seeing my pastor’s twinkle in his eye everytime he lays eyes on me (he’s such a good dad).

Everytime I go to sleep whether its for a nap or for the night and God wakes me up right on time without an alarm clock #11yearsstrong.

Whenever I dance for Jesus.

When the sister at my church prophesied to me about my future for 20 minutes and another sister anointed and kissed my feet.

My friend invites me to a harvest fest outing and with her professional camera takes the best shots of us enjoying the fall season.  I made one of them my facebook cover photo.

There are some serious challenges for me in this season and I am tempted to only focus on those challenges.  However focusing on the beautiful moments reminds me of God’s love.  His unfailing, unconditional, overwhelming love

Truly He came to give us life and life more abundantly.  Let’s not waste this gift.
