Things are Looking Up!

The last few months life has been pretty much “slow and steady” and that’s been the challenge for me.  I know, I know, most people are challenged when there’s actually A CHALLENGE but I struggle when there is no challenge, LOL.  Go figure.  There’s no secret about it, anyone who knows me knows I love a good challenge.  A good project.  And for a while there God was encouraging me that the “new” was coming.  That things were going to be changing and getting a little more interesting.  However (once again) I had to learn that His definition of “new” and “change” may be just a tiny bit different than my own.  As well as His timing when His promises would come about.  Well, finally, it seems the changes are coming.  I’ve been given some extra responsibilities at work which could really prove to be overwhelming for me if not for the last few months of being under challenged.  So, I’m just reminding myself of that little fact when I feel a little anxious.  I can even see how my experience in grad school has helped me tackle my current responsibilities, even if they are not Accounting related.  On top of the work responsibilities, I’ve taken on a position in a start up company that my pastor owns.  I’m pretty much doing marketing, advertising, PR, etc…I started a blog for the company, which you can check out (www.planbecoaching.wordpress.com) as well as a facebook page (you know you’re big time when you’re on facebook) 🙂 and will be working on the website.  I’ll also be handling the finances and keeping the books.  Whew, I’m tired just thinking about it, LOL.  But I’m really looking forward to it.  I already have some experience in both arenas as I am the Treasurer for our fellowship (church) and do various admin tasks as needed.  God is really sharpening those gifts in this season and I do appreciate it.  So, here’s to the new and to the busy and to the valleys and mountains of the seasons that make up this life.  And here’s to God for creating them.  And knowing the perfect times to implement them, even when we would think otherwise…
